My First Blog

So here I am trying to write my very first blog!  My partner writes a blog periodically and my cousin blogs as well.  I haven't started blogging until now since I think it will help me share the good times, heal over the bad times and just share my outlook on life.  I will try not to babble too much :)

I am a wife/partner, a mom/stepmom, a friend, a caregiver, a maid, a teacher, a cat lover, a photographer, and a limo driver, just to name a few :)  I have a beautiful daughter who has red hair and is full of life!  I have a handsome son who is always on the go and is stubborn as a mule.  I also have a cat who is my suck and is named after a Formula 1 team/energy drink, Red Bull.  My partner is someone whom I am so glad to have in my life.

Rich has been supportive of me in my dealings with my family over the last year and there have been times when I almost thought I would be doing it alone.  I am grateful that he has remained by my side and has been my rock through everything!  My family has wreaked havoc on my life over the last year and it has finally ended this past July/11.  Rich has been what I have been looking for, even though it may not be apparent, but he is!  I have always wanted to travel, even if it was around Ontario, do things that I have heard other people talk about, expand on what I had already experienced and just live.  Rich is always on the go, likes to discover new places, return to favourite spots and be who he wants to be, without having to put on a show for others.  He is a natural with seeing the creative side of things, while I have to look and look :)  He likes to play music for people, take pics of people in their natural setting, ski and bike along the lakeshore.

For me, since being with Rich, I have been able to experience a lot of firsts.  Pretty sad since I am now 38 years old and I have experienced a majority of my firsts in the last 3 years!  I haven't really put together a bucket list of firsts but I may be able to list a few here.  I finally had a child(2009), visited Kincardine, visited the Toronto Islands, been to an air show(2009), been to an Indy race (2010), photographed a Pride Parade (2011), biked in the Ride for Heart (2011), went to the CNE (2009), went rollerblading (2009), attend a Caribana parade (2010), saw a play/musical (2010), saw the Festival of Lights (2008 and I was suffering horribly from morning sickness and was almost attacked by a fox!!), and skiing (2009), just to name a few.  There are some things that I still would like to experience like visiting Ottawa, Owen Sound,  Montreal, attend a F1 race in Montreal, maybe go white water rafting, go to Ontario Place, take my kids to Walt Disney World, go to Darrien Lake/Cedar Point, go on a vacation with no kids :), and just continue to experience things and share them with our kids!  I want my kids to say, "I've been there!" or "I've done that!"  Rich and I haven't been ones for video games and our kids don't ask to play them all the time either.  Although I have been a little addicted to the Zynga games on Facebook :(   They do watch a fair bit of tv during the week but on the weekends, we are busy doing stuff as a family, whether it is going to Wonderland or taking pictures or even going to the beach, I want my kids to get their education from experiences they have encountered.  We like to keep busy and I like that.  Staves of the boredom of the everyday.

My kids and Rich remind me everyday, that my life is now worth living.  Somedays, I wish that we could move and start over far away, since I do still have dark shadows hovering over my social media networks, but I am glad I have them in my life.  I am surrounding myself with positivity and happiness and pushing away the negativity that has plagued my life for a long time, in the form of bullying, backstabbing and lies.  I can only move forward and am embracing all that I can to make my life happy and full of adventure!!

Thanks for the read and I hope that I didn't babble too much :)
